Simone

Birth & Postpartum Doula | Lamaze Childbirth Educator

Simone is a birth and postpartum doula with extensive experience, having supported countless families in community health settings, hospitals and homes. In her seven years as a doula, she has become known for her warmth, compassion, and ability to quickly identify practical solutions that help families throughout the postpartum period.

With experience as a birth doula and childbirth educator, Simone brings a well-rounded understanding of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care. However, she finds the most joy in supporting families after birth. She has worked with families welcoming twins, 2SLGBTQ+ families, and families from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. Her approach is grounded in culturally responsive care and the belief that strong community connections are essential to postpartum health and well-being.

Simone holds a Masters of Public Health from the University of Toronto and is deeply committed to advancing reproductive health research. When she is not supporting families as a doula, she manages a research study exploring the birth experiences of Black and Indigenous families in the Greater Toronto Area.

She combines compassionate in-home support with reliable, evidence-based information, helping each family navigate the postpartum experience with greater ease and confidence.
